Minority Law School Scholarships 2022
If you’re a minority law student, you’ve got some options to increase your chances of getting in. For one thing, you can apply for the American Bar Association Minority Caucus Scholarship. This program awards $5,000 annually to a minority student. To qualify, you need to show a commitment to the AAJ and have financial need.
Another option for minority students is to apply for a Gates Scholarship. This award supports 300 outstanding students each year. You must have a GPA of at least 3.0 to apply, and you need to demonstrate financial need. You may apply for this award if you’re a minority or an American citizen.
Other options include the Arnold & Itkin LLP Scholarship. The firm awards $5,000 to two current law students who are focusing on utilizing the legal system to benefit the community. The scholarship recipient should demonstrate a passion for community service or victim advocacy. To apply, you must submit an essay and a statement of financial need.
The Recording Academy’s Scholarship program is also worth a look. This program rewards students with a superior academic record who are involved in civil rights work. The award can cover three years and provides a total of $30,000.
